I think I'm going to shut From My Bookshelf down for a while; maybe for good. I've been putting this together for quite a few years now and it's starting to feel a bit more of a chore. I'll keep my Goodreads & Instagram connected, but with the state of the world right now, I just want to read without worrying about making sure I post something about it. Who knows - when the world starts to make some semblance of sense again, I may start actively posting here again. Until then, as always, happy reading!

Oh, the randomness of it all...

Well, it seems like I have fallen right back into the realm of indecision. I'm still reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (which by all rights should not be taking me this long to read), and I'm already eyeing my shelf to see what I want to read next, but nothing seems to be speaking to me. So I'm trying a random drawing. I've entered all the books that are in my LT account that are labeled "Unread" and I've used a random number generator to pick a number that correlates to a book in my excel spreadsheet.

And the winner is... The Valkyries by Paulo Coelho.

I know that if I did that the very moment the winner appeared I would suddenly 'know' what it was I wanted to read - and it wouldn't be that one!

Well, there are already about 3 other books that seem to have caught my interest, but I am at least going to stick with this at least through this book. We'll see how that goes.
