ANNOUNCEMENT
After a lot of thought, I've decided to take a break from blogging for the foreseeable future. With my little C creeping its way back into my life and possible long term treatment now, I need to take a couple of things off my plate for the time being, and the blog is going to be one of those things. As it is, it felt like it was becoming more of a chore than anything else. I need my reading time to be more enjoyable right now, more of the escape that I really need, and what I don't need is the little voice in the back of my head telling me how many reviews I'm behind and trying to come up with what I need to say about the book.

I simply want to read.

I'll more than likely occasionally post on here what I've been reading, and if there is something that really blows my mind, I'll probably have more to say about it and may write up a proper post, but for right now, things are going to be very quiet around here.

As always, happy reading!
2017 edit
I will continue to blog according to my health and ability, and connecting my posts thru Goodreads, so please be patient if things get quiet around here again this year.

2017 edit #2
I am happy to report that my bone marrow transplant was a success and that I'm feeling more like myself everyday. That said, I'm going to try to start blogging a little more frequently, but please bear with me as I still continue to recover.

Sunday Salon 15 III 2009

Good morning, fellow Salon Members! This has been a most discouraging reading week for me! I came down with the world's worst cold on Tuesday, and have had all of my energy sucked away and have only left the house twice since Wednesday, once for the doctor and then again last night, just to get out of the house - but then the simple fact of walking around the grocery store for about 45 minutes completely wore me out. Yeah, it's a sad state of affairs around here right now. But, you'd think with all this time at home that I would have taken advantage of it, and read book after book, right? Well, to be honest, that's what I thought too, but alas, no. I haven't even had enough energy to read. So, unfortunately, I will probably only be able to complete half my Miss Marple March. Oh well. I can say, however, that I have watched more TV in the last 4/5 days than I have in probably the last year.

So, hopefully everyone has had a much better week than I have. Happy reading, everyone!

Hope your feeling better soon. Don't beat yourself up about not being able to read whilst you have been ill. Sometimes your body just needs to rest.

Good morning to you too! It's almost afternoon here in California. Just 15 minutes to go. I'm not sure why I'm telling you that either. LOL

I do hope you are feeling better. I was hit hard by a nasty cold too not too long ago, one that kept me away from reading as well. I still have the cough to show for it.

Take care of yourself!

I hope you're well again soon! We've all been sick too, but I did manage to get some reading in. Not all for challenges though. I tend to reread my favorites when I'm sick. But since I've been shuttling others to the dr, I do manage to bring a book along to the dr's office.

I got the Miss Marple mysteries with Joan Hickson from Costco last month - $35! totally worth it. I think we've finished all of them now. The last one we watched was, appropriately, Nemesis.
