April, 2020 - I think I'm going to shut From My Bookshelf down for a while; maybe for good. I've been putting this together for quite a few years now and it's starting to feel a bit more of a chore. I'll keep my Goodreads connected, but with the state of the world right now, I just want to read without worrying about making sure I post something about it. Who knows - when the world starts to make some semblance of sense again, I may start actively posting here again. Until then, as always, happy reading!

28. The Metamorphosis and Other Stories by Franz Kafka

Title: The Metamorphosis and Other Stories
Author: Franz Kafka
Copyright: 1915 (1996)
Pages: 218
Format: Hardcover
Rating: 2/5 stars
Finished: 4-9-09

Truth to tell, I don't have much to talk about on this one. It is what it is, a bizarre and not always pleasing collection of novellas, the most famous of which is The Metamorphosis. I can't say that I enjoyed them, nor can I say that I didn't enjoy them. I took nothing away from any of the stories, and will probably never read this volume again. As you can see, I'm rather impartial to the entire thing.

I am with on that novella. If you would like a new read try the city of bones. it is a series so if you like it try them all.like the reviews...

Thanks for stopping by!

A friend of mine has mentioned the City of Bones series to me before, and I've been trying to get them from my library, so as soon as they become available I'm going to give them a try.
